Lake Kissimme State Park - January 12, 2013

It was a great day to be out at the park.  It was such a beautifully warm winter this year.  I did get one photo of a shrike, but he was very far away!  Mostly landscapes today:

Circle B Bar Reserve - January 12, 2013

Stopped at Circle B this morning, but didn't have too much time.  There was a baby limpkin!  How strange to see one who was born in the middle of winter.  Also got a nice shot of a vulture in a dead tree:

Audubon Center for Birds of Prey - January 5, 2013

Here are some bird portraits from Audubon's Center for Birds of Prey in Orlando.  This was a very fun place to visit, and one of the volunteers there did a great job of answering questions and showing off the birds.  Hope you enjoy!

Venice Rookery - January 3, 2013

There were many nesting Great Blue Herons already at Venice Rookery.  I was surprised to get a shot I like so much, not of them, but of a nearby Osprey!  I also have included some of the nesting activity.
