For my lunch break this afternoon I went for a second time to check out some reports of swallow-tailed kites, missisipi kite, red-headed woodpeckers, and burrowing owl along Powerline Road in Dade City. It started raining on my way there and I guess I just missed the kites, but another birder did point out the burrowing owl on the fence way in the distance. It was important for me because I had never seen one in the wild before. Also photographed a meadolark. As I was leaving I saw other birds too like a (red) house finch, a brown thrasher, and a blue jay.
