Circle B Bar Reserve - December 31, 2013

A good mixture of interesting critters as usual.  When I got home and looked at the photos, I couldn't believe I saw a peregrine falcon, a life bird.  I knew it could be something special when I took the photo, but it was pretty far away and only stayed for a second.  Also in the same back area (the open field) I found a few meadow larks calling.  They have such a beautiful song.  Today I noticed some interesting behaviors like trying to hide from me in the pine needles of the tree and then trying to hide on the ground.  When I got home and researched it, I found out they nest in the grass, so I will really need to be more careful next time I am in that situation!
