Little Blue Herons at Lettuce Lake - November 7, 2013

The first thing I photographed this morning was a 1st year little blue heron.  They are really beautiful at this stage and apparently great hunters.  He caught two crayfish.  When I saw the adult later (there is also a middle stage of both white and blue), he did not get any crayfish.
