So, after seeing that huge flock of ducks recently, I thought I would never see a large group of birds like that again in Florida. Today, I made the drive down to Sarasota, and look and what was there! The plan was to go to Myakka, but got sidetracked to other small parks in the area, and was so glad I did. These swallows were first over a pine flatwoods landing in a few small trees all together and then taking off again almost immediately. Then they moved over a retention pond just off the side of the road. It is amazing both times seeing large flocks of birds it was not out in the middle of no where, but just off a main road.
