Hillsborough River - April 5, 2014

Stopped here in the afternoon and was surprised to see the control burn which had taken place very recently.  I was just here and the place obviously looked totally different.  I just hope the special red-headed woodpeckers and fall warblers will still be here later in the year.  Of course I know controlled burns are necessary, but still wonder about the creatures who live here, especially on the ground
