Baby Skimmers at Redington Beach - June 18, 2014

It actually took me several minutes to see there were some babies here already.  What a change from a few weeks ago.  I had not been here at this particular time where most skimmers are still brooding the eggs and just a few have hatched.  There are many broken and abandoned eggs lying around too. Skimmers are pretty funny to watch, but it was really interesting when a baby started to wander too far.  The parent picked him up in its beak as if to scold him.  The first images are the sequence of events.
