Even though I didn't find any baby sandhills, I did find baby red-shouldered hawks! There was a nest here last year too, but this one was a little closer. Also a tiger swallowtail was very cooperativee and let me take all sorts of shots from different angles while she fed on the lantana. Finally, one of the other exciting parts of the day were a juvenile and adult bald eagle flying together. The juvenile landed in a tree, seemingly to escape the adult, and I got a few shots as I watched him resting there.
