Osprey Release - September 7, 2014

Got to watch another release again today.  This bird was found injured here at John Chestnut, nursed back to heath at Maitland Audubon Sanctuary, and brought back here today.

This osprey was ready to go!  He flew straight out of the box over the water.  He took a good look around, and then landed in a tree to recover from the excitement.  He stayed there another 15 minutes and then flew out farther over the lake.  Can imagine he was very happy to be home.
