Red-Tailed Hawk Release - September 6, 2014

Haven't been out to the parks recently due to hot weather and the switch back to a 5-day work week.  However, I did get to watch my dad release an injured hawk from Save Our Seabirds Sanctuary today.

After a hesitant start, the red tailed hawk flew into some nearby oak trees.  Once found, he flew to a tall pine tree, and when found a second time, he flew off again to the tallest pines farther off in the distance.  He has open fields and a lot of land if he wants to stay in the area for a while.
