Merritt Island - November 8, 2014

Stopped by the visitor's center first and found both male and female painting buntings at the bird feeder.  Yes, these are wild, native, Florida birds.  I knew already that Blackpoint Drive was closed for repairs, so decided to try Peacock Pocket which I had never been to.  The best find was a pair of harrier. Wish they would've come in closer for better photos. There was never a dull moment with thousands of ducks and coots along with all the others you would expect.  Found several shovelers, blue winged teal, a few female pintail, one ruddy, and a spotted sandpiper.
