Viera Wetlands - November 8, 2014

This place reminded me a lot of Merritt Island probably because it was only 30minutes south of there and also a driving loop.  It was nice to go someplace different though.  The best finds were a hooded merganser (first of the season for me) and a savannah sparrow in pretty good light.  One of the most interesting things was the large numbers of pie-billed greebes.  Also pictured below are some of the many other birds that were out today: loggerhead shrike, great egret, anhinga, and glossy ibis with a gator.
