Fort DeSoto - April 5, 2015

The migrants are beginning to come in for the season.  There were a few here today that were not here last week as well as a few of the regulars. I also saw my first box turtle for this area, which is the third ever in Florida(two were photographed), and fourth in my life, aside from zoos.  Compared to this week last year, there were many more migrants.

 cape may warbler
worm-eating warbler (first time seen at the park, second time in my life)
 prairie warbler
palm warbler

Louisiana waterthrush (first time seen at the park, second time in my life)
 Black and White Warbler
 Orchard Oriole
 northern cardinal
 common grackle
 loggerhead shrike
 mourning dove on a nest
