Zoominations, Night Lights - May 24, 2015

Even with coming here a month ago, I was still able to get some different shots.  I hope next year it will come back and be even bigger with all new light displays.

 

Zoominations, Sunset - May 24, 2015

I think some of my best shots were at sunset because there is the combination of lights and the last of the daylight.  I stayed at this one spot over the water for a long time because the light just kept getting better and better...then finally, it was time for the night shots.

Everything looked so different here during the day as opposed to last time I was here only at night in April.  I got to see the show this time too, and here are my best shots.

I was glad to have my camera during the show so I could try some slow shutter shots.  I like the effects of this method because you can feel the movement of the subjects in the photo, which is pretty neat for a still image to do.

 

 

Finches at Gainesville Butterfly - May 22, 2015

I also took a few shots of the little finches that were there.  They were very pretty!  Outside there was a nature walk and I saw a red-headed woodpecker, but didn't get any great photos since he was high in the trees.

Gainesville Butterfly Rainforest - May 22, 2015

This place was amazing!  It was probably the largest butterfly garden I have been to with butterflies from around the world.  My favorite butterfly was the one that looks the same backwards and forwards.  One butterfly landed on my hand!
