Birders in Florida have a sort of birding scavenger hunt in June called the June Challenge. You try to see as many species in one county (usually your home county) in one month. I have never participated before, but June 1st I decided to started keeping track of all my birds on Ebird.org and I am doing pretty well so far. This was the first day I drove all around Hernando county to see what I could find.
Yellowlegs
Black-necked Stilt
Sandhill Crane
