Yellow Rat Snakes at Sawgrass Lake - June 7, 2015

These two snakes were the best finds of the day!  The Yellow Rat (Corn) Snake is very beautiful.  The first snake was found slithering along the boardwalk and then reached over to a leather fern branch, eventually leaving the boardwalk for the branch, to continue the hunt.  The second snake was wrapped around a tree along the oak hammock forest path.  I know the snakes love trees like this when they are shedding skin but I couldn't see any shedding, so maybe he was hunting for some food in the crevices.
