Joe's Creek, St. Petersburg - January 18, 2016

Came here today to find a bird reported here recently, a bell's vireo.  After careful searching, the bird still eluded me.  However, a painted bunting showed up, and it was actually the first time I saw one not on or near a bird feeder.  Other good finds were this yellow-bellied sapsucker, a brown thrasher, and a pair of red-shouldered hawks.
