Lake Ariana, Lakeland - December 31, 2015

This lake was much bigger than I expected, and I didn't have much chance of finding the western grebe reported here, even after finding a group of other birders waiting for it to show up.  A kayaker came over to the group and said he had seen the bird a couple of times, but it was just too far out. I did see a greater scaup, white pelicans, ruddy ducks, and a river otter (or river otter snout).
