St. Andrews Beach, Jekyll Island - March 12, 2016

Actually had someone ask me for the first time today, "Are you a birder??" And then pointed out a Wilson's plover, and some least sandpipers, a new find for the weekend.  I pointed out the piping plover, another nice find.  The Wilson's was all alone and making this crazy calling sound.  The strangest and saddest sight was a newborn baby dolphin that had died and was washed up onshore.  The best birds were probably the American Avocets at the north end of the beach.
