Chassahowitzka WMA - June 4, 2016

Got up early this A.M. to look for a screech owl in a nesting box at Chassahowitzka.  Couldn't believe he was actually there!  Arriving before dawn I heard a chuck-wills-widow, saw several common nighthawks and saw many bats.  Other good finds today were bobwhite quail (flushed when I stopped to look at the screech owl, but flew away before I could snap a photo), wood duck, and a second summer tanager location for the season!
