For the Christmas Bird Count, groups of people working in a 15-mile radius, compile data on birds seen (species and number). This has occurred every year since 1900, so I guess they have a lot of date to analyze! Today was Hernando, and I got to go with a great group of folks out to Weeki Wachee Preserve.
I personally saw 69 species listed on Ebird, many of those new were for the park, and many of those I would not have seen if I had been there walking around on my own.
Of course, the best photos are landscapes, so that is mostly what I will share for this post.
