Common Eider at Jetty Park - February 10, 2017

Went back to Jetty park again late this afternoon to look for the Common Eider again.  Just about to leave and I see it flying over from the island across the way right towards me.  Then it lands in the water, and proceeds to swim right over below me.  Finally, it put on quite a show while it was trying to eat a fish (and a gull was trying to take it).  Just as quickly as he flew in, he flew back out again and was gone.  What a great end to the day!  By the way, the common eider is not common at all in Florida, and was a "life bird" for me, the seventh so far this year!
