Bowman's Beach, Sanibel - May 26, 2017

Visited Bowman's Beach today for the first time looking for a snowy plover.  There were several, and found one on a nest!

Bailey Tract, Sanibel Island - May 26, 2017

First time seeing these adorable baby black-necked stilts.  Not too much else out along the trail, but they made it worth the walk.  What an adorable day for baby birds!

Burrowing Owls at Cape Coral - May 26, 2017

Cape Coral, the Burrowing Owl capital of the world, is a place I have been meaning to go for years, and it was just how I imagined it!  Owls were everywhere, and so adorable!

Brooker Creek Headwaters - May 20, 2017

Went on a Sierra Club Meet-Up walk today, and got to see a nice park I have never been to before.  Pictured below are Swallow-tailed Kite, Spicebush Swallowtail on Buttonbush, Robberfly, and Halloween Pennant Dragonfly.

Lettuce Lake Park - May 16, 2017

Lettuce Lake Park is one of the best places around to find the Prothonotary Warbler.  Sometimes I get lucky and get a few photos too!  This is actually my first sighting of one this year.

This was the first time I had ever seen a stilt nest before, and it was so close to the main trail, I was able to get some pretty nice shots!
