Finally! The moment is here! Thought it would be completely blocked by
clouds, but luckily we got a few views as the sun poked through several
times. The moments when the sky went completely dark were the best.
The insects really did respond to it too. What a unique experience! Left the special solar film on except for when it was just about at totality. Had to leave the mountain immediately after, ironically to get back to teach a photography class. So much traffic, but worth it!
